Great Work

"I purchased the DVD movie and the lectures by David Rohl. These sent me on a journey of discovery and helped me to focus on the date and travels of the exodus. I spent an entire summer reading many books to try and find out the date of the exodus and to discern what others claimed from the truth. I took me to places I had never thought about. In the end I finally realized the date of the exodus is in the Bible which can be dated backwards from 1 Kings 6:1. Using Google Earth I was able to locate many of the points along the exodus. The movie and lectures helped me to better understand a number of things that happened such as the golden calf. Part of the stumbling blocks I had were understanding the history of the Hebrew text and its transmission. It also made me dig deeper into the history of the Septuagint. The set of DVDs opened my eyes to areas of study I was not familiar with. As part of the study I bought the books Tell EL-Borg I and Tell El-Borg II which is the work James Hoffmeier did at what is thought to be the Sea of Reeds. This is the finest work I have seen on the exodus."

Real thinking material on a subject many believe to be allegory

"I keep "lending" this out to people and it never makes its way back. That's ok, I just buy another one. Good work. I wish there was more of this sort of study in the churches."

Looking for THE Truth

"I have just watched the "Patterns Of Evidence" DVD on TV. Yes I am a Christian, and yes I have a bias toward the accurate collection of historical evidence, What I don't like is the reality that much of the time the media is more inclined to be self serving and repetative of opinion followed by gossip and more gossip and more gossip to the point that they are clearly not intrested in the lack of hard evidence. This is so tipical of the tactic of devide and concour, in other words of LIES by means or avoiding evidence. The DVD "Patterns of Evidence" clearly is not made with opinion, nor cover up in mind. It is loaded with evidence that can only lead to one conclusion.... The Bible is correct, & conventional opinions of History are in serious need of correction. Egyption records are notorious for exaggerations, hence the need to look carefully for the truth of the History at that time. I recommend "Patterns Of Evidence" to one and all. Who was the covenant confirmed with to begin the 430 years?

"Personally i think this has to be Jacob as he left to go to Laban, the Creator confirmed the covenant with him when he was 70-80 years old, he entered Egypt when he was 130 years old. The Septuagint says the sojourn of the children of Israel were 430 years in Canaan and Egypt (Abraham and Issac were not Israelites). Meaning the Israelites were in Egypt from the time of Jacob's arrival for about 370-380 years. i don't know many people who hold this view, but i think it is crucial for coming up with the correct chronology. Perhaps instead of shifting the entire chronology forward 200-300 years, it could be "gradually stretched forward" instead allowing for 370-380 years in Egypt from the arrival of Jacob to the time of the Exodus."

Needed answers

"Great investment. It answered so many questions that I had for years, but no one had the answers. It is one thing to believe the Exodus story, but it is another thing to say "Wow!! It really did happen as the Bible says! the shifting of the Egyptian chronology puts all the other events in the Bible in real history."
